This is the art I did for the cover of my university's literary journal, for the theme Unnatural Selection. It's a bit old now but I'm still really happy with how it came out!
I didn't really have any specific inspiration for it - this image kind of just came into my mind, so I drew it!
I'm not sure whether to put mature content on it or not, it's a bit disturbing I know. If you think I should put the filter on, please let me know!

It might be classed as mature content. But, to be honest, I think you have the lady character covered up, in all the right place. So, you are protecting her modesty. Interesting character. She looks like a kind of mermaid. Part human, with some visible scales. And, yet, she might be a genetically modified human, as she is holding her heart on the outside; and appears to have pipes and sticking, as though someone has made her that way. I like the sea behind her, with the waves crashing on the rocks; and the sun behind her. Also, like the glowy eyes, too.
